Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the FP&A Tools website (the "Site"), operated by the FP&A Professionals Institute ("we", "us"). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
1. What FP&A Tools is
The Site is an independent directory and comparison resource for FP&A software. We provide information, comparisons and a recommendation questionnaire to help finance teams evaluate tools. We are not a reseller of, and do not provide, the third-party software listed.
2. Informational use only
Content on the Site, including tool profiles, comparisons, shortlists and resources, is for general information. It is not professional, financial, legal or procurement advice. You're responsible for your own evaluation and purchasing decisions. Always validate details (features, pricing, fit) directly with the vendor before buying.
3. No warranty on third-party information
We compile information from public sources and vendors and aim for accuracy, but we don't guarantee that every detail is current, complete or error-free. Vendor capabilities, pricing and availability change. The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
4. Vendor listings & independence
Some vendors pay for membership or featured placement. Paid placements are labelled, and payment does not influence rankings, search results or how we describe a tool. See our Editorial & Independence Policy for the full standard.
5. Acceptable use
- Don't misuse the Site, attempt to disrupt it, or access it through automated scraping without permission.
- Don't submit false information through our forms, or use them to send unsolicited or unlawful content.
- Don't copy or republish substantial parts of the Site's content without our consent.
6. Submissions
If you submit information (for example, through the shortlist form, newsletter or a vendor application), you confirm it's accurate and that you're entitled to share it. We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party websites (vendors, resources, scheduling and email tools). We're not responsible for the content, products or practices of those sites, and a link isn't an endorsement.
8. Intellectual property
The Site's design, text and original content are owned by us or our licensors. Vendor names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its information, including any decision to purchase or not purchase a tool.
10. Changes
We may update the Site and these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and we'll update the "last updated" date above.
