Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information FP&A Tools ("we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the third-party services we rely on. We've tried to write it in plain language. If anything is unclear, contact us at info@fpnaprofessionals.com.
1. Who we are
FP&A Tools is an independent FP&A software directory operated by the FP&A Professionals Institute. For privacy questions, reach us at info@fpnaprofessionals.com.
2. Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us. Specifically:
- Shortlist / lead form: when you complete the tool finder and request your breakdown, we collect your name, work email, company, role, and the answers and recommended tools generated by the questionnaire.
- Newsletter: if you subscribe, we collect your email address (and name, if provided).
- Advisor / intro calls: if you book a call, the scheduling provider collects the details you enter (such as name, email and any notes).
- Basic technical data: like most websites, our hosting and any analytics may log standard information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data, and we ask you not to send it through our forms.
3. How we use your information
- To send the shortlist, breakdown or resources you requested.
- To respond to enquiries and, where you've asked, connect you with relevant tools or implementation partners.
- To send newsletters and FP&A insights, where you've subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To operate, maintain and improve the directory.
4. Third-party services we use
We rely on a small number of reputable providers to run the site. Your information may be processed by them on our behalf:
- Form & lead handling (e.g. Formspree) — to receive and store form submissions.
- Email marketing (Kit / ConvertKit) — to manage newsletter subscriptions and send emails.
- Scheduling (e.g. Calendly) — to book advisor and intro calls.
- Hosting & infrastructure — to serve the website.
Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data. We don't sell your personal information to anyone.
5. Sharing with software vendors
If you ask to be introduced to a tool, or request a shortlist and opt in to be contacted, we may share the relevant details with that vendor so they can follow up. We only do this where you've requested or agreed to it. Listing vendors do not receive your data simply for paying to be listed.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or similar regulations.
To make any request, email info@fpnaprofessionals.com.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required to meet legal obligations, after which we delete or anonymise it.
8. Cookies & analytics
The site may use essential cookies and, if enabled, privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the directory is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "last updated" date above when we do.
